Dieter Helm has published a whole series of books on climate change and the solutions to it . The book is a bit dated now(published 2020) but  Net Zero is well worth a read for a high level look at what needs to happen to avert this planetary crisis and make everyone's life better.  The "Electric Future' is especially useful as this is where we need to be headed - and fast.  Complete electrification of transport and heating through adoption of EVs and heat pumps has the potential to reduce our planet heating carbon emissions by over 50% and these are rapidly falling in price.  I recommend reading two of Professor Mark Maslins books before Net Zero, 'Climate Change - A Very Short Introduction' (2021 version)which provides all the essential facts to equip us to speak confidently and persuasively on this issue.  The other book by Prof Maslin is 'How to Save Our Planet - The Facts'(2021). It's short, punchy and full of easily understandable facts including that there are more Lego people on Earth than real people! Enjoy.
