How we get to school, and work, has a big impact on our environment.
Too many cars & vehicles idling pollute our streets.
Kids & adults need space to move safely, walking, cycling or wheeling.
Idle Engines = vehicles that are running but not moving
We need you to design a poster with a slogan for outside your school to stop idling.
Asking people to turn off their engines to keep the air clean.
THE RULES
Eligibility:
- Children aged 7-11 (key stage 2), - Lives in Erewash - Attends a school in Erewash (yrs 3-6)
Entry Details:
- Full Name, School, Year Group, Age, Home Postcode, - Parent/Guardian contact (phone/email)
Poster Guidelines:
- Must be an original design created by the child. - No AI-generated images or text allowed. - Message should be clear and concise. - Poster size = A4. Orientation = Landscape. - Medium = Wax Crayons, Felt Pens, Pencils, Paint, Collage. - Theme = Highlight why engine idling should be avoided.
Consent:
- By entering, you agree to allow the use of your poster image and slogan. - Winners may be photographed with their design and prize for promotional purposes.
The winning poster entry will win a £350 children's bike

If you are aged 7-11 years (key stage 2), live in Erewash and attend school in Erewash, please draw us a poster encouraging your friends and family members to turn their vehicles off when stopped. No Idle Engines! You could win a bike to cycle to school
Create your poster on A4 with a snappy slogan in crayon, paint, felt tip or collage and write your details on the back.

This poster competition has now closed. No more submissions will be accepted. We will now deliberate and pick our favourite poster. The winning poster entry will win £350 towards a child's bike. It may even become a huge poster outside your school!!!
