The Erewash Investment Fund (EIF) is up to £2million of council funding from its reserves and it is being used to invest funding back into communities ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Review (LGR).
£50,000 has been allocated to a street art mural project which are visual art displayed in the public domain and differ greatly from graffiti. Artists will engage and work with communities from where the murals are to be located to deliver art with a relevant and beneficial subject. This will enhance the street scene and encourage a sense of pride in areas.

Focussing on locations in Ilkeston and Long Eaton initially, we are seeking the public's view on the outlook for the street art murals project, including accepting ideas on preferred art subjects and styles. Please take a few moments to complete this short survey before Friday 14 November.
