PSPO Chalons Way Vehicle Based Activity - Survey now closed
Erewash Borough Council has been made aware of vehicle-based anti-social activity taking place in and around Ilkeston, including Chalon's Way. The anti-social behaviour being reported has been taking place over a number of months and has included:
motorised vehicles gathering.
high powered motorised vehicles, or those with non-standard fitted parts in the area.
motorised vehicles being driven inappropriately, including performing stunts.
motorised vehicles being driven in a way which causes a disturbance.

The evidence showed that the incidents being reported are having an ongoing detrimental impact on those who live locally or visit the area. In order to tackle this behaviour the council launched a consultation on a proposal to approve making a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014 to give the council and police additional powers.
